Lesson 11 – SmartChecks

A checklist is typically a memory tool to ensure one does not forget to do something. Given that part of testing is about checking for compliance with some of them being standard/rote, checklists are of great use here. The challenge is that executing/using these repeatedly undermines its value as users tend to skip over and also do not think or do anything beyond what is stated. Smart Checks of HyBIST extended this idea to enable one to think, and lead rather than force compliance via action-oriented checklists. This lesson expounds this idea and helps us shift from a list of checks to smart checks.
